At Golden Gate University, we believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to pursue their passion, whether you plan to change environmental policy, fight for the rights of minorities, or find your niche in litigation. GGU Law’s part-time evening program allows you to earn a JD degree while maintaining life’s other responsibilities.
"GGU Law’s supportive culture made it possible for me to balance the responsibilities of parenthood with the challenges of being a law student."
—Jennifer Torres O’Callaghan (JD 09)
Flexible schedules. We offer a mix of evening, day, and summer classes. Once you complete the first year you can determine the schedule that works best for you. Part-time students usually complete the program in four years, and some even finish a semester early.
Real-world instruction. GGU Law is well known for its emphasis on practice-intensive courses. Classes are taught by our full-time faculty, many of whom are recognized leaders in the legal profession.
Generous financial aid. It’s our mission to put an outstanding legal education within everyone’s reach, which is why we award generous merit scholarships based on academic performance, community leadership, and more. We also offer significant financial aid benefits to veterans through the Yellow Ribbon Program.
Coveted location. GGU Law is located in the heart of San Francisco’s legal and financial district, where you’ll have access to a rich network of some of the top businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies in the country.
Vast alumni network. Build relationships with GGU’s extensive network of contacts in the legal, business, tax, and accounting professions.
